Ann, Carina, Cathy and their families worked to totally transform the Middle Hall. There were washing lines, kites, umbrellas and even a swing! A dancer moved around the space whilst a pianist played for her. Wind machines provided a breeze to gently blow the dangling objects about.
It is really tricky to draw moving objects and people. Many artists have struggled to show movement. The children looked at other artists' work before coming into the middle hall to have a go themselves.
The children worked hard to represent the moving figures and objects. They sketched in chalk, pen, paint and pencil. Children drew in their sketchbooks and some children had an opportunity to draw on a much larger scale.
What a fabulous drawing experience!
