Spitalfields Festival

Recorder Big Band, Columbia Brass Ensemble and Columbia bassoon players performed at a concert as part of the world famous Spitalfields Festival on Monday 9th June. They had been working hard for the event during the last term at school with their music tutors. The children played alongside a prestigious music group called The Orchestra for the Age of Enlightenment and they performed in historic Shoreditch Church.

Ex Columbia students also performed as part of a huge orchestra. It just shows that starting music at Columbia and continuing to practise hard really pays off!
The standard of music was very high and the professional musicians praised the skills of our Columbia musicians. The concert was enjoyed by all.
